Keep your cash firmly in your pocket. Stow away your credit cards, too. Instead, make your gift to the Foundation's campaign with a gift of appreciated securities.

You can make your pledge today for payments spread out over 5 years—plan to pay with the sale of a stock in your investment portfolio that has appreciated since you purchased it. You’ll receive the tax advantage of a charitable contribution, just as with a cash gift. And you’ll help build for the future of physical therapy, without imposing on your available cash or credit.

Just call the Foundation at 800/875-1378, ext 3167, to let us know of your plan and advise the Foundation of your stock sale. We’ll give you the details to pass along to your broker to ensure that you are properly credited.

Gifts to the Foundation's campaign, "Destination: Research Excellence—A Roadmap for the Future of Physical Therapy," also can be made with a gift through your will. Make the Foundation the beneficiary of an insurance policy, retirement plan, or any portion of the assets you might have, and, in some cases, receive a tax advantage today. Call the Foundation, or go to the Foundation Web site at www.FoundationForPhysicalTherapy.org for details. Click on "Planned Gifts" to read about other donors who have supported the Foundation's campaign through their will.

"Destination: Research Excellence—A Roadmap for the Future of Physical Therapy" is growing funds to expand the Foundation's capacity to award research grants and doctoral scholarships and to secure its ability to fulfill its mission.
