Listening to Immelmann


To the Editor:

I enjoyed your discussion with Immelmann in your Editor's Note ("Immelmann's Indignation") in the November 1999 issue of Physical Therapy. Your point concerning continuing education merchants and the lack of evidence to support information is well made. I laughed because I frequently receive complaints from students who take my continuing education courses that I present too much research and too much data. Too many graphs are used, and the student simply wants straightforward information about how to treat some conditions. Earlier in my career, I was upset with these criticisms, and now I just take the perspective that you have with Immelmann.
