Bidding "Old Blue" Farewell

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

In January of 1989, Physical Therapy took on a new look. Covers were once again blue (a recurrent color in the Journal's 75-year history), and the Journal established a contemporary but serious air worthy of our profession's primary vehicle for scholarly publication. Since that debut, many of us have become conditioned to expecting "Old Blue" in our mailboxes monthly, and, depending on how you view the Journal, this is either eagerly anticipated or just confirmation that more trees have met an ignoble fate so somebody could publish something. With this issue, "Old Blue" ceases to exist.

Beginning in January, the Journal will again take on a new look, one that heralds a new era and that we hope will provide visual confirmation of a new spirit guiding our efforts. Our Journal has grown remarkably as a vehicle for research publications....
