This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

I appreciate the opportunity to offer commentary on this study about young adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) by Alison and colleagues. Despite extraordinary medical advances in CF, this is the first article about CF in Physical Therapy in the last 5 years and only the second article in more than a decade.

Despite several readings of the study, I reached the same conclusion each time. My conclusion is, regrettably, that this study adds virtually no new information to our accumulated knowledge about physical therapy for young adults with CF. The authors claim a new finding that "endurance time is markedly improved after a period of hospital treatment." This finding may be accurate, but probably had little to do with the physical therapy provided to these subjects as part of this study....
