Following are two commentaries on both "Clinical Use of Neuromuscular Stimulation for Children With Cerebral Palsy, Part 1: Lower Extremity" and "Clinical Use of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation for Children With Cerebral Palsy, Part 2: Upper Extremity."
I thank Ms Carmick for sharing her experiences using neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) with children who have cerebral palsy. Not only do I appreciate learning about an intervention that could be helpful to other children, but I appreciate her effort in preparing the case study for publication. Many of us have had experiences that are worthy of sharing through case reports, but few of us have expended the effort necessary to publish them so that others can also benefit from our successes and failures.
