The authors of this article are to be commended for an insightful view of the curriculum for the physical therapist of the future. On most occasions we spend far greater effort dealing with day-to-day issues than we do on matters that are important to our delivery of care in the future.
Extensive experience is brought to bear on the issues in that the authors have derived a database from nearly 30 physical therapy education programs. Assumedly, the curricula evaluated are representative of those throughout the country. Although a more specific categorization of the location and type of program evaluated would perhaps be helpful for the reader, the primary issues discussed in this work are probably not significantly affected by the database....
