Twenty-Second Mary McMillan Lecture

Twenty-Second Mary McMillan Lecture

Charles M Magistro

Mr. Magistro is Director of Physical Therapy, Pomona Valley Community Hospital, 1798 N Garey Ave, Pomona, CA 91767 (USA).

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

I am deeply honored to have been selected to deliver the Twenty-Second Mary McMillan Lecture. Since entering the profession of physical therapy, I have heard and read a great deal about Mary McMillan and her visions for our profession and the American Physical Therapy Association. It has been my good fortune to have known all but one of the previous Mary McMillan lecturers. I recognize and acknowledge the numerous contributions made to our profession by these 21 distinguished persons. To those Mary McMillan lecturers present today, I wish to say that to be included in your select company is in itself a unique honor.

I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to recognize specifically the members of my family who are present today and who have enabled me to make a total commitment to my profession for so many years....
