Aging Process: Implications for Clinical Practice

Current literature on physiological changes that occur in humans owing to aging is reviewed. The musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, neurological (including perceptual), endocrine, and immunological systems are discussed. The effects of disuse and of exercise are reviewed. In each section, implications for physical therapy are suggested.
